Wow! What a great smoke. I can't stop retrohaling this one. It's full of flavor and reportedly from those around me smells good too. Couldn't find any C&D Autumn Evening so picked this up with a few other fall flavors. This one will be hard to top. Smoked cool all the way down and as I'm nearing the bottom the bowl it still tastes great.
I never hear folks talking about Sutliff. Are they not popular? I got their Rum and Maple blend in my last order too.

I've enjoyed a number of Sutliff blends. I liked their Westminster (English, not to be confused with GLP) and Balkan 964. Because they go easy with pricing, some seem to feel they are inferior tobacco, but over the range of their blends, I find them quite good. I smoke only a few aros, but they do a good job with some of those, i think.

What happened with my topic title? Can a mod change it to Sutliff Pumpkin Spice please? Thanks and sorry for whatever that gibberish is.

I really like a lot of stuff from Sutliff. Their Maple Street is great as is Burma Road and my favorite is Queen Anne's Revenge. I haven't had Punpkin Spice yet

Thanks, Cosmic.
I want to add this tobacco is heavy on topping and the tobacco took a back seat to the pumpkin. I could see people not appreciating that but the topping was so good (don't forget to retrohale) I was ok with it. A nice seasonal treat. It required close to a dozen relights but I smoked it a bit more wet than I usually smoke tobacco so YMMV.

I just ordered some of this. Sounds like it would be great in a cob on chilly Fall nights.

Those who will miss Sleepy Hollow when it's gone will find this to their liking. Here's my review of it:
Pumpkin is the star topping, and the various spices (cinnamon, nutmeg and all-spice) contribute in an important secondary role. The tobaccos underscore the toppings, though you’ll notice them just a little more after the halfway point. I got bare hints of vanilla from the black cavendish, honey and toast from the gold cavendish, and very slight hay, citrus Virginia notes. A hint of vanilla is also in the topping. Won't bite, and is light on the nicotine. Burns at a moderate pace, cool, clean and creamy smooth with a consistent flavor, though it may benefit from a slight dry time. Leaves a little moisture in the bowl, but no goop. Not quite an all day smoke, but one that's repeatable.

^ What Jim said. This was the first blend I've had that could accurately be described as "creamy smooth" and I was pleasantly surprised by the consistent flavor. Thanks for putting into words what this blend is. I'm looking forward to my next bowl.

What he said ^. I tried a number of their "Private Stock" blends. Taste, what there was wasn't bad, there just wasn't much of it. Room notes, not bad. None of them had a trace of nic I could detect. Like smoking hot air.
Maybe if Sutliff sent me tins for free I'd find better things to say about their blends. Nah, I wouldn't waste my time smoking wimpy blends. Life's too short.

Pumpkin is one of those polarizing flavors, like beef liver and lamb; some love it and some hate it. I have a friend who can't wait for the seasonal pumpkin ale. I can eat a good piece of pumpkin pie, but beyond that, I'm not a pumpkin guy.

I am not as finicky as some. I like Sutliff tobaccos. They used to send tins to our pipe club so that everyone had something to smoke. I thought that to be a kind act.
I've had: Balkan luxury, Man's best friend, Maple Street, Molto Dolce, Sunrise, and Westminster. I liked them all just fine.
I have a couple of tins of Edward G. in the cellar as well.
I have spent a ludicrous amount of money this month or I would get some Pumpkin. It sounds like a fun tobacco.

Mine will be in Monday, just in time for Halloween, along with an MM Little Devil acorn. Am looking forward to giving it a try.
