While trying to find "Old Vienna" and "Honey & Chocolate" Sutliff Private Stock tins (the last two to find of my Sutliff Private Stock collection) I've been buying-up some extra tins because Sutliff Private Stock tins are usually half-full (or half-empty, depending on your perception) so I try to find two and consolidate to make a full tin.
Anyway, I saw a reasonably priced Moulin Rouge Sutliff Private Stock tin on TinBids and so I won the bid. As I went to consolidate, I noticed I owned "Cabaret Rouge" with the same description and artwork (see below). At some point, there was a change! Both have a serial number TP-26-VA and the labeling is identical with "Tax Class L".
Cracking-open the new Moulin Rouge tin, it smells a little more like Play-Dough but is seemingly identical.
I'm pretty good at determining any kind of "spot the differences" games and I don't see any. I know some of the Sutliff Private Stock tins had a black top, and some have tobacco warnings on them taking up half the artwork sometimes.
When you ask Sutliff, they usually have no idea about previous products or any historical releases. Anyone have any ideas?
