Last week the U.S. Senate unanimously approved a measure that would make daylight saving time permanent across the United States next year.
The bipartisan bill, named the Sunshine Protection Act, would ensure Americans would no longer have to change their clocks twice a year. The measure still must clear the House and be signed by the president to become law.

What do you think:
Should we dump daylight savings altogether or stick with what we have?

Go back and look at the history of all of this and, assuming we're going to stop this nonsense, the choice should be Standard time. But, why not just split the difference and decide on a 30 minute shift?

Sure, nothing will be perfectly correct, except for some of Fall and Spring, then nothing is perfect now, and nothing we do is perfect in any case.

I don't give a care if we stay on Real time or DST, just as long as we stop this ridiculous clock change BS.
Ontario past this a while ago, just wouldn't implement until New York and Quebec followed suit, something stupid to do with trading.

Like Cleveland?
That's funny right there!

Personally, I don't care. I lived in AZ for a bit, and it was neat that the clocks didn't change, but Phoenix weather wasn't all that difficult.

Here in NE Ohio outside Cleveland, the weather is a little more.... um... finicky.

I'm more curious if there can be a bipartisan agreement which doesn't have a high price tag attached to it. ?
