I bought these with keeping a couple of pipes in my camper in mind but this worked well enough I feel comfortable putting a pipe in my vehicle console and/or glovebox when going to a friends house or traveling.
The cases will even hold my Savinelli Qandale 602 with the stem removed.
Neither pipe seemed to slide/move around inside the case much.

Very nice idea.If you take your pipes with you as you travel, this is a very inexpensive option.

Now that's a brilliant idea. I'll be rummaging around in the dresser drawers cuz I know I have at least a couple of cases I've tossed in there and never used. Better than the socks I sometimes employ.

Those hard-shell foam cases are great. I use one for air travel. Mine holds five pipes, this ran about $15 delivered on Ebay.

This is all I have used for years. I had a pipe in a Maui Jim case in my backpack when my friend drove over it a while back. Pipe was fine.

I think I need to try these out. Hard shell cases seem to me a lot saver then your usual soft leather bags, especialy for fligths when you have no Idea how your luggage is handled.

Yep, I have a nice Smokin Holsters leather bag, but that hardshell foam case offers better protection. It goes in my large briefcase/carry-on. In the summmer, it goes in a hardshell cooler (also a carry-on), which then gets beach use.
