Sun Bleached Briar

I have a pipe that looks to have sat with one side to the sun, which is lighter than the rest of the pipe. Noticeably so. Is it worth trying to darken this areas or should I strip and refinish?

It covers about 1/5th of the bowl. It almost looks like someone decided to try a different dye.

You could probably rub darker stain on the end then rewax with Halcyon 2.
