First part of advice: I always advice against starting with danish-style aromatics – they are very demanding to one's smoking skills, especially pace and tamping-wise. Lighter english blends are easy to start with. If you are not into smoky flavor of latakia, I suggest you start with burley based blends. Something like half and half, maybe?

Second part of advice: browse your preffered tobacco shop, buy and taste everything you find appealing. It's a hobby after all, and the main rule in all hobbies is to have fun, not necesseraly in some advised "proper" way.

*sigh* I was wondering how long it would take

"Newbie here looking for a filtered pipe, any suggestions?"
"Nahh but instead I'll instruct you as to why you're an idiot for wanting a filtered pipe"
🙄

No filters don't remove all carcinogens. If they did then we wouldn't be smoking anymore, would we? They do remove the damp bitter gurgle burping up into your mouth, however...

Perhaps you should avoid my thread as I prefer not to be called an " idiot" by a complete stranger.

That's his and your opinion. I'm here to get advice on pipes and tobacco, I believe my preference to use a filter is my choice and would hope tbe old time pipe smokers on here can appreciate ones own choice. Thank you
I'm with you. I don't personally use a filter, but I did when I first started (helped with the tounge bite) then I found the peterson systems, p lip and it changed the pipe smoking experience for good. Either way, you do you and whatever that is, enjoy the shit out of it
