Suggestions On Packing Blackwoods Flake

I'm enjoying this tobacco, but I suspect I could enjoy it more with a better pipe-loading technique. The tobacco is pretty thick and harder to rub out. It's moisture level also results in multiple relights for me.
Any suggestions as to how I should be preparing this tobacco and loading it?

The cubing or dicing technique is very effective for flakes. Some folks use the bend and stuff technique for packing. I've done both and have found that the bending and stuffing works well for outdoor smoking and, IMO, makes for a cooler smoke. I think you have to experiment to find which works best for you. Drying is critical as peterpiperuk points out. I found that to be essential with SG 1792 and some others.

With BF, the broken flake is pretty hard to rub out so either cube-cut or let it dry and then rub a bit. It does take a bit more work but it's worth it. By the way, don't expect to get an even cube with that tobacco.

Yeah pop the tin let it sit for a few weeks, I just rub it out with no problems.

Would there be any harm in giving it a few pulses in a coffee or spice grinder before letting it dry?
