Heating sounds useful as it should soften gunk that makes it stick?

And good quality pliers are your friend if you must.
Go slow and work your way around

Its a crap design leaving so little to get ahold of.
And yes, 9mm is superior to six everyday

Today is Sunday.
Went to church.
Went home.
Had a smoke.
Removed stem to replace used 6mm.
The adapter just popped out!!
Replaced with 9mm.
My prayers were answered!!

When you get it out, try reinserting the other end, some of them have a slight taper.

I found this out last night too.
