Strange Combo?

The more in depth I got into pipe smoking, the more I noticed that i prefer over the counter tobacco in my Peterson pipes. My favorites are Carter Hall, and Half& Half. Simple, yet amazing! Any one else prefer this combo?

I smoke CH, PA almost exclusively. Once in a while I will mix in a bit of Penzance or Stonehaven or 1492.

I've never came across any blend I didn't enjoy in my Petersons, so long as it's a blend I would normally enjoy. But I do seem to enjoy Carter Hall, Prince Albert, and Half And Half in my Petes just a little bit more!

I just like a simple tobacco, out of a nicely crafted briar pipe.

I don't have a Peterson yet, something I plan on rectifying after this crazy expensive summer is over. But I do love me some Carter Hall, probably my favourite smoke at the moment, in just about any pipe.

I cannot speak for the more expensive "Briars," but my $75. Peterson smokes as good as it gets. I'd buy another in a heartbeat.

Love that Carter Hall, PA and it's been too long since I tried Half and Half. Got to fix that.

I've only tried CH a few times. Alone it was ok. I mixed it with another blend and it turned out horrible. I am no "master blender" for sure. I have yet to try PA.

Must either be one fine pipe to make over the counter blends more enjoyable, or one really awful pipe to make premium blends taste worse than otc.
