I’m finally running out of McClelland Blackwoods Flake and starting to search for a replacement blend. Is anyone currently producing blends with stoved Virginias? All I’m seeing are a couple Sutliff blending tobaccos.

It's a crumble cake and cased with rum, but Blockade Runner is one of my favorite tobaccos.
There is nothing. BWF was reds and stoved virginias pressed into flakes and I don’t know anything of its equal. Maybe mix some Rattray’s dark fragrant with some Sutliff 515 might get you close.
I have been toying with ordering some C&D Yorktown. It’s description is enticing me to expand my horizons.
Maybe something like KBV Byronic Hiro? Or maybe Watch City Cigar Rhythm n Blues and/or 558 Flake?
I did and was disappointed.
Derringer, another C&D bulk Virginia ribbon, is better for my $.

Don’t want to steer the thread from “Stoved” but I enjoy the Red VA in Winchester and had read that Yorktown is two Stoved Virginia’s, a light and a red and then red va added for sweetness.
Is Derringer stoved?

Not sure if it’s stoved or not but to my taste, it’s just preferable, but, that’s me.

Yorktown is pleasant as a blender but I don’t find it terribly sweet. I do stove my own Sutliff 515RC1, both straight up and after giving a very light casing with a simple syrup made from palm sugar, per a suggestion from ErnieQ.
Not sure you'll find any kind of replacement for your McClelland's, but KBV does a number of stoved offerings, and I've been very happy with home stoving a few VAs, luxury twist flake in particular.

Try Mac Baren's HH Pure Virginia. I believe it has a stoved element. At least it tastes that way to me.
Closest thing I can think of to that concept is the Sutliff "States of Virginia" that came out a while ago.
Yeah, I know there’s no exact match (sadly) so I’m definitely looking for something that’s close-ish.
Seattle Pipe Club’s Down Yonder is a stoved Virginia. I like it quite a bit more than a little.
Out of stock at the moment bt WCC Rythem and Blues has stoved Virginia. It's a VaPur though.
Yeah you really should. It's the one I smoke the most. It's kinda perfect in my opinion. In fact I think I may smoke some now.
@antonine you could also try to stove it your self I hear it's not that hard.
How about blending some Yorktown and Sutliff 515RC, then pressing in a noodle press for a week? Not flake but krumble kake, and you’ll get some of the desired stoved VA notes from the Yorktown, and the tang and sweetness from the 515.
