Storing your Pipe Cleaners?

I have them auto-delivered every few months from Amazon. My day-to-day carrier is a soft-sided fake-leather eyeglasses case that I keep loaded up and stored in the smoking supplies basket that I carry out to the patio with me.

I use a plastic pencil box. Keeps the cats out of them also. For travel, a plastic toothbrush holder keeps them straight.

I use a Mason jar with a lid.

Over the years, I have developed a highly regimented system of storage, inventory control an distribution for my pipe cleaners. I used to lose sleep and close friends worrying about whether I was complying with the subtext of human existence when it came to pipe cleaners, but I’m fairly satisfied now that I am one with the universe.

I trust you have a spread sheet that you update with each new cleaner extracted from its spot in the inventory......?

I got a copper cup I keep a pack in the rest are in the box they came in a drawer in my cellar till I run out of the ones in the cup then i go into the drawer and grab another pack.

Ha ha, I thought about it after I posted and was waiting for that.

You put them in a mason jar, a gallon size if you don’t want to bend them. Fasten the lid and wait about 3 years. A little age does wonders on them.

I just leave them in the box that I bought them in. When I buy pipe cleaners I buy a bunch.

No spreadsheet but each has a barcode that I scan and is automically adjusts the inventory. Why complicate things with s spreadsheet.

Your "next level" storage process has really inspired me to try to take my own method up a few notches. I will have to spend much time in meditation to determine exactly what move I should make. Thank you for the inspiration.

I use old tins of Granger and SWR to store mine. Works great.

I use ziplock quart bags to store my pipe cleaners. The active bunch is in a wooden jar on my desk. I used a tall shot-glass previously.

Engraved beer stein from my brothers wedding with my initials on it. I put several different kinds in there so I can grab the type I want. Sits on my tobacco jar shelf, and looks pretty OK.

Hard to read a barcode on a normal pipe cleaner!

If each cleaner had bluetooth, inventory could be automatic. It'd be "in inventory" until the trash was taken out. Slick!
