Storing Massive Plug of Tobacco

So I have two of these and put one in a 64 oz mason jar since it’s deep enough. Unfortunately, the second has too much girth and won’t fit the mouth of the mason jar.

How have you guys stored these? Just chopped them up?

Now that is a title (that will probably be changed by a mod). Cutting seems fine.

Chop, slice, etc. I did both, some in big chunks, some sliced into coins to see if there is any difference after some age. You know, for science

Took me a second to put together some thoughts that weren't completely inappropriate, but I'd say that cutting them in halves or whatever would be a good way to get them both in one jar, so there isn't as much air space.

you can cut them to fit. Aging won’t be a concern. ️

I’ve heard it in the oil field also. A solid rubber hose used to wipe drilling mud off pipe being tripped out.
