You Rule, Cajun!
I have about 13 pipes and that I know is an unlucky number to have
Send me the Nording and 5 other pipes and you'll have 7 which is very lucky!
Meerschaum gives a different flavor profile than briar and needs no cake or rest between smokes. Other than that, the difference is purely aesthetic. I got a lesser quality meer off ebay for $10 about a years ago and it was my go-to pipe until I got my Storient. Going that way is a dice roll. Bottom line is a meerschaum is a pipe and most people who try them like them. If not, and assuming you get a quality pipe, someone here will probably take it off your hands.

After all this great talk about these, I have no choice but to get one.
If this deal goes through, I'll be buying a PM2012. wanted blue but out of stock so I'm thinking Vanilla Swirl.

I think I am getting a meer as well. I did want the blue stem, but after some thought, it seems that the Vanilla Swirl will be a better choice after the colour develops.
CanAsianPiper, have you placed your order already? Did you go through the "meerschaumpipe.us" website?

slownumbers- I havent made my order just yet. I'm in the middle of PMing storient. Hes out of the Blue stem, which i really wanted, and it'll be at least a month till he gets more blue material. So i'm going to go with the Vanilla Swirl.
I'm waiting for him to om me back, telling me where to send my payment.

A couple guys got the amber, which is a normal bit instead of a saddle bit and it looks cool, too. I got the vanilla with the saddle bit and I like it, though.

I really like the look of the "Blue Swirl Stem" on the Cherrywood Meerschaum pipe, but wonder how it will look once the pipe turns colour? Does anyone have any pics you can post of a blue stem pipe that has begun to change colour? The Vanilla Swirl stem seems a good choice as well. I guess I need to get this going as it says on the website, "Available Untill November".
Looking at the Van Cleef as well, but that will be next year I think.

Just post stuff you have available on the website and provide pics of custom work with a button to contact you by email for custom orders. Also advise that there will be a longer wait time for pipes made on demand because of production, availability of materials and the shipping queue. I think people will understand that and appreciate you being upfront about it.

Six weeks to two months is a normal wait time for custom work from other retailers. Better to promise less and deliver more than the other way around.

will there be a PM2013??
That's really up to Kevin and he said the PM2012 was a one time thing. That doesn't mean Storient won't have a 2013 Pipe for us, though. I've heard some interesting discussions about the Holidays too, so we'll have to wait and see...

I was going to order the vanilla swirl because it's in stock now, but I can't get over the blue swirl stem. So I guess I'm going to wait a month until it comes in.

by the way, Storient gave me a deal on an overstocked item, a beautiful pipe, and never having owned a good Meer before & not knowing if I would like it & having to pay $170+ to find out I didn't, I appreciate it.

Cajun, your comments made me do it. I can remember the old days! But love the one I'm with.
