Sterncrest Sterling Resto before/after

This is my second LHS Sterncrest billiard. Some of you may have seen the first Sterncrest refurb I posted a couple of weeks ago. Although similar, this is a different pipe. I don't like doing it but I had to top this pipe. As you can see from the ebag before shots, the rim was pretty beat up and had been poorly reamed with a knife. After reaming and topping it to remove the damage, I sanded and smoothed out the bowl chamber then applied a fresh carbon bowl coating.

Beautiful job man! Looks perfect. Hope it smokes just as well for you. Let me ask you, what's your bowl coating consist of? There are a lot of recipes I've been talking to people about. I'm trying to find a good general purpose coating I might be able to use across the board... Really nice job on that!

also I'm curious about coating. I usually sand until 1200 paper, then polish with carnauba. And you?
