Glad to here this. Its good to see someone holding on and fighting in this extremely harsh economy, all too many businesses have already gone under, especially as relates to our hobby.

Thanks for that. I'd never heard of "Sterling Tobacco" before. I don't tend to put much trust in these independent blenders -- I assume they're just rebranding Lane and Stokkebye bulks, or creating their own "blends" from two or three existing mixtures, until I learn differently -- but the blends do sound intriguing.
And he made my smile with a blend he named American Patriot -- and then went on to describe it as a "heavy English." ;)

Shame they don't ship to Europe. I would have certainly got a few of their 1776 blends.

His tobacco blends are definitely worth trying. I've sampled quite a few of them and "My Buddy" is pretty much my favorite. Also, a great guy to do business with.

Based on nsfisher's recommendation on another thread, I ordered some cube cut burley from them yesterday.

Looking forward to my first bowl in my new MacArthur MM cob.

Grew up in Sterling going to Sterling pipe shop when it was open. Very familiar with most of the blends(at least the old ones).

If you want a rich english try the Chairman of the board two selections brown or green. I think the brown one is the richest one. Could be wrong I haven't ordered from him in a long time.

Country store aromatic, Tahiti are great.

When out hunting in high school Got a rabbit and settled down to a smoke of Tahiti. That was in 1972 real memorable.

Now if only McClelland out of Kansas would come back into business...I truly miss their blend called Best of Show. Just finished my last tin of it a few weeks ago. Here's an old post Re: their demise

Best in Show: One of the best small flicks around if you've ever come across serious dog show people.
And my typo re datasdream: I realize I don't associate data with dreaming, at all! But do like my data to stream, esp. via Netflix in 4K. And then there's Dadaistdream, left me with a real impression.
