Sterling Silver Bands vs. Nickel Bands

I’m another vote for silver. When polished up it shines more visually “pure” than nickel. It’s quite stunning. I have many nickel bands too and appreciate their utilitarian nature, but my favorite pipes often feature silver bands.

Silver shines with a softer lustre, especially with age
I love using old silver cutlery which have had a few decades of use.
