Hello All,
I am new to the forum and new-ish to pipe smoking. What began as a lark to cut back on costly cigars, has led to my abandoning stogies all together. This forum and it's members have been my virtual piping mentors and instrumental in my appreciation of this noble and time honored tradition. Now that my first year into this hobby is coming to a close, I felt it only appropriate that I step out of the shadows and join in the camaraderie and fellowship that I have witnessed here. I will close by giving my sincere Thanks to all those who have taught not only myself, but many others the joys that can be had with a bit of leaf in a bowl.

Welcome and enjoy the stay. I too took up pipes due to the high cost of any decent cigar. Took some time to get the hand of it but it's worth the trip.

Pipes are a big savings over cigars if you don't get bitten by the Pipe Acquisition Disorder (PAD). Welcome aboard. I like pipes because there is much more latitude with tobacco. You can always add a dash of something else to a given blend, a little cigar leaf, Turkish Izmir, Latakia, etc. Welcome aboard.

Thanks Gents, for the warm welcome and kind words. Thanks to the uncertainty of pending draconian measures PAD has taken a backseat to TAD, for I would rather smoke the finest leaf from a humble cob than dregs from the finest briar.
