Vulcanite or acrylic?I’m sure this topic has been thoroughly discussed here but I have a Savinelli Oom Paul on the way with some tooth damage and would like to know the best glue and filler to use to repair it. Thanks in advance.
All the newer ones may be, but I think there are older ones out there with vulcanite. I’m not sure though. ?I really don’t know. Aren’t Savinelli’s acrylic?
I can usually tell by looking. But the reason I was asking is because many folks claim to have good luck by heating the tooth dents a little with a lighter or candle or heat gun, and raising them back out. I’m not sure the same could be done with acrylic. ?Is there a definite way to tell the difference?
Laudasi will replace it for$40.I’m sure this topic has been thoroughly discussed here but I have a Savinelli Oom Paul on the way with some tooth damage and would like to know the best glue and filler to use to repair it. Thanks in advance.
Rub the stem with your thumb until it's warm. If it smells like hot rubber, it's vulcanite. Is there a definite way to tell the difference?
You could apply the same to first dates.Rub the stem with your thumb until it's warm. If it smells like hot rubber, it's vulcanite.
