I have very recently obtained a reg Stanwell. I have been enjoying myself cleaning and getting to know it.

I cleaned the stem with hot water and everclear vodka inside and out. Let that rest overnight and began this morning with a magic eraser.

I have since been polishing it with Flitz and am now satisfied with it and want to put a coat of paragon wax on it.
Rookie Question: should I do anything to remove the polish residue before I apply the wax?
TIA,
Cotton1

I'd rinse it off with cool water. Steam and water vapor from hot water can oxidize vulcanite.
