Stem Material Variations

I asked Michael Parks to send me some pics of different types of stem colours to help me decide what I want for my next commission. He sent me a raft of pics that I thought I would share with you.
The following pipes are the ebonite samples:

A lot of elegant choices. I like the cream colored stem. It reminds me of some ivory stems that I've seen on early 20th century pipes.

I have never seen such beautiful stems and pipes...I would not be able to pick one.

Whole lines of pipe feature colorful stems with streaks and whirls, but these stems, although most

are unique and colorful, are all refined and elegant. There is no sense in which they are trying to

catch your attention. But when you notice them, there is a kind of electricity to them. My two

"Cumberland" stems are actually acrylic or similar material, and I enjoy them, though they are

not near the level of these. The cutting and shaping on these is also superb.

I now have a briar boner after looking at all that pipe pornography, thanks a lot, peck! There are some simply STUNNINGLY AMAZING pipes in there. The stem variations are beautiful and the grain, birdseye and blasting is absolutely gorgeous!
The virgin blasted billiard with the clear amber looking stem and the squat-saucer rhodesian/bulldog are ridiculous. That blast job is just crazy and the birdseye along the rim of the rhodesian is just out of this world. Wish my $$$$$$$$$ trees were producing fruit-a-plentiful.

peck, are those amber stems vulcanite? If so, that would be my first choice. I love the look of the amber. There are also some other great looking ones, but that blue is a little much for my tastes, for you thought it will go perfectly with your blue versachi hand bag. The black chubby billiard that is bout 8 from the bottom is also very cool.
Your man crush with Parks is beginning to border on obsessive stalking. I wonder if he knows about your proclivity for dating the opposite sex.

This certainly does explain your love for pink champagne and tastefully decorating your living room.

Some really unique color combinations. Since you're a collector choose one that stands out around the rest of the pipes. The black, white, burnt sienna and grey looks awesome.
