At first read I thought you were on the masochistic side when you toss in the mother into the soup. You may have an ulterior motive to be a nice guy before exiting stage left with a few more coins in your pocket when the smoke clears.
Maybe Capt Black Dark ? I think the fruit flavor translates into the room note. I have gotten compliments on it .
My cabinet shop is in a pretty busy little light industrial strip and I smoke my pipes all day long while I work with the front roll up door open. I typically get quite a few positive compliments on the smell of my pipe mostly whenever I am smoking something pretty gentle and aromatic like Captain Black or Borkum Riff lines.
Captain Black Dark aka Lane BCA aka Smokers Pride Black Cavendish seems to always draw a steady stream of compliments. So does Lane 1Q and usually anything cherry. I have even had a couple people poke there head into my shop asking what that great smell is.
Sadly, I have yet to get a single positive compliment for any of the English/Balkan blends I've smoked.

I got Supervalue Ultralite made by Sutliff and STG and still have some. It really is very light. Last week I smoked 6 unrehydrated 20 year old bowls in a row because they were so light. The downside was that my mouth got dry afterward.
Carter Hall is very very light, although personally it's a little harsh on my lungs if I have inadvertent inhalation. A couple other Burley OTCs like PA are on the light side, and PA has a nice smell for me.
Katerini is an Oriental leaf that is very very light.

I am back home after a flight that was supposed to leave at 7:30, left 2 hours late, so missed a connection, napped at the airport then got out on an 8am flight that left at 9:30. I could use a smoke, but it's too damn hot out!
About the trip? First, apologies for not giving more context in my OP. Yes, I want to continue friendly relations with my ex; the trip was mainly for/about my daughter and her boyfriend; my ex and her mom can be annoying as s -- but I digress. Thanks to everyone for the support and suggestions!
It was a successful trip based on the above criteria. I took a couple of cheap pipes and some PS LTF, because that coconut smell = beach; some Lane HGL which is my current guilty pleasure; and some Pease Ellipsis, which is a very nice, strong summer smoke. I got a few bowls in early in the morning and late at night, but Friday night I was "caught" by my daughter and the BF while they were on a walk past the designated smoking area. We'll probably have a talk about it!

I am thinking that your quest is somewhat for a red herring. Just smoke your pipe and expect nothing but loving tolerance, or leave your pipe at home.
My pipe club buddy Brian Doran has a great pipe smoking YouTube channel as Beans316. In one episode he talks about checking into his hotel on a family vacation and the desk clerk tells him, “There’s a $200 penalty if you are caught smoking on your room balcony.” So, Beans whips out two $100 bills and puts them on the counter and tells the clerk: “Here you go. I may as well just prepay.”
Perique. Lots of perique. Or tashkent. Or both. That'll fix em. And while your at it grab some sausage peppers and onions with a roasted garlic sauce. No one will bother you for quite a while. Or try a speedo. You'd set yourself apart from everyone and get some R&R. Good luck dude...I wouldn't want to be in your Army boots. 
Shouldn’t smoke in the designated smoking area. That is the first place they will look.
That's just the thing: I was able to cover my a#* when they first walked by the DSA, because I hadn't yet fired up a bowl, but I was worried they'd come back, so I went all the way over to the other side of the motel behind the dumpster. And that's exactly where they walked past me 10 mins later after a stroll around the block! And they weren't even trying to find me!
Probably a good thing to have a talk with her about smoking, I suspect she still vapes, and it's better to be honest. As long as she doesn't narc me out to her mom.
So this entire trip you learned a valuable lesson about being honest.

Thanks, that's very generous! I think that I've pretty much given up on the idea of stealth blends, based on what people have said on this thread and my own experience, and it looks like my secret's out with my daughter, so no need to hide, but thanks for the offer!
As far as advice on relations with your adult children, the best I've received so far: "Keep your mouth shut and the welcome mat out."
