With you being a cigar smoker, I wouldn't worry too much about "beginner blends" or "starter tobaccos" or any other way you can phrase it. You know that fine tobaccos are meant to be enjoyed slowly, how to draw into your mouth without puffing, all that training wheels stuff that I didn't get when I started. To start, I'd just find a couple 1oz blends offered in ribbon cut you like the title or tin art of. Just have fun sampling the world safe in the knowledge you can put it out halfway through your smoke and return to it the next day.
