I've decided to start an American pipe collection and when I spotted this one I knew it would be the starting point. I did have to clean her up some as the rim had a bit of char.

Gorgeous indeed! I'm with riff about KW nailing the author shape with the 13's. I have 3, a 13b and ones with the shape and "13" imbedded in longer shape numbers (I need to do some research on KW numbers). One of them is an amazingly articulate puffer - and it was one I got at a flyfishing show for $5.

I love the looks of Kaywoodies but I am not fond of most of them having stingers. That is a gorgeous pipe and a fine start to a collection.

Outstanding Kaywoodie! I've started a collection of carburators and drinkless - Regents are next on the list. I agree with Al, love the 13B author shape. Congratulations on your find.
