I got mine in last week and I love it. It is now my favorite pipe. I went with a 98

I mean I don't think you can beat that price and stanwell is a good pipe company. I may pull the PAD button. Not sure what I want to dedicate to I do need a good designated VA pipe.

Those Varios seem like excellent pipes. Before they showed up on P&C for $39.99, I bought two Stanwells from P&C, a brushed brown pot of the Sixten Iversson design and a black brushed Canadian for $49.95 apiece. These are Italian made "Denmark Designed" pipes, and though I've never owned a Denmark made Stanwell, these are excellent pipes. Anyone who is building their rotation with briar factory pipes can't do much better. I appreciate and own a few higher level pipes, and many beloved mid-level Petersons, Savs, and others, but the Stanwells are excellent and will serve you well and please you for, likely, the rest of your life.

I have a Stanwell Vario 243 made in Denmark that's several years old. It smokes great although the smooth part on the bowl seems to get hotter than the rest of the pipe.

I bought my first Stanwell a few weeks ago on Ebay for $25 and did a minor restore on it last week.

It's my second "cheapest" pipe and it is one of the best smokers I own. If you haven't pulled the trigger yet do it!
