It is stamped Stanwell, with Golden Danish stamped below and the shape 98 in the corner. The tobacconist I bought it from said it was Italian made, but I started wondering when there were no markings saying one way or the other.

Hmm, I am having a tough time finding a solid answer. Maybe one of these other guys knows better. What I can tell you, is that it was a good choice. I love the GD finish and the 98 shape, I have been thinking about picking one of those up for a while now. I want to say that the GD pipes were some of the last ones made in Denmark, but I cant find the.article anymore...

Ok, so after thoroughly re reading that and phoning a friend, I believe I was wrong. I am fairly sure the GD line is fairly new, and made in Italy.
