My understnding is that the Danske Club models are also made by Stanwell in Italy and reprecent Stanwell lower-end model line such as Stanwell Silke Brun line which although is on a higher level.aforementioned Danske Club versus Stanwell comparable as how Rossi brand Pipes go in comparition with Savinellis.Based on my own experience In regards to over all quality and craftmanship I can say Danske Club pipoes offer very good value and are well finished. There is In Denmark one tobacconist where you can find a comprehensive assortiment both higher and medium priced Stanwell pipes(Royal Prince, Duke and Silke Brun)as well as Danske Club pipes and they do ship overseas and VAT is deductable to U.S & Canada >www.skjoldburne-hjoerring.dk

Hope this helped,Greets, Paul

Danske Club are excellent pipes and they are more a sort of Stanwell side brand than a sub-brand like Bijou, for instance.

I have one of the older ones, no. 11, a Sixten Ivarsson design and the most sold model ever, made in Denmark and it's a great smoker. IIRC, DC pipes were cheaper than the Stanwells proper, but then we're back in the eighties.
Thanks for the link, Paulie.
Happy smoking

Not questioning your decision, but just to chime in -- I've found side and economy versions of good brands to be better than average smokers. Nording's economy priced pipes of old, Eriksens, at least the one I bought, has proved to be as good as a Nording and lighter weight and more compact than most. Likewise, the Rossi line made by Savenelli is a good smoker -- I have two of those. These outfits don't want to sully the major brand by selling poor quality pipes. And they want beginners to move up to the main brand because they enjoy smoking.

thank you guys, look this one i find for an exclent prize http://loja.charutosecachimbos.com.br/cachimbo-stanwell-duke-brown-polished-97-p38128/
altough its a duke brown (a more expensive model) i find for the same prize as the dusk club. The thing i dont like is this kind of litlle piteira looking canadian. I think longer piteira is more classy but im willing to do the esthetic sacrifice to have a duke. compare the ones i like better below and give me your opinion please.

Mgj012,not long ago,I have bought me just the same 97 Stanwell Duke Liverpool, what a great smoker, and no complains with the quality,it has a medium sized bowl with medium thick walls, primarly I use this mode both for folded and broken flakes as for classic billiard model of 52 I recall the bowl size is pretty much the same ,perhaps a little bit(1mm)wider, Hope this helped
