Absolutely. All the time. Sometimes you have a little leftover from a previous bowl so you put it on top because it's nice and dry and boom. Best of two worlds.

I do this often. One particular stack/parfait I enjoy is filling the bowl first with Gawith Dark Plug, then put a pinch of a sweet VA like Marlin Flake, Mac Baren Club/Roll Cake on top. It starts off sweet with the VA and then gradually transitions to the rich savoury dark plug flavor at the bottom. Yum.

I also smoke the Gawith twists quite a bit. I usually do the same, load the twist 3/4 of the bowl and then add a pinch of similar ribbon aromatic on top to make it easier to light. For example, for the Black Cherry Twist I'll add a pinch of a cherry aromatic on top, with the whisky twist a pinch of Borkum riff Bourbon etc For an unflavored twist i just use an easy to light Virginia. The aromatic flavour merges perfectly with the twist flavour and it lights easy, no drying or messing about.

I've done this a few times when near the end of a tin. I've enjoyed them all really. Some times I'll put Five Brothers at the bottom of the bowl if the other blend won't fill the bowl. Some shifts have been kind of jarring in a way. A very sweet Vaper going into the burly kind of made me notice the savoryish flavor of the burly.
