Thank you again sirs.

As I wrote before my original aim was to whiten the wood, then to carve grain veins on it painting them with white (in order to equate the white veins in the stem), lastly to stain it with green.

But, as you know, when I discovered the quality of the grain I decided (with your help) to keep it natural.

That's pretty cool. Where do you get your supplies? Is it difficult to make your own? What kind of equipment is needed to tackle such a task?

PF- If you can make it to the Chicagoland peepshow*, there's a workshop where you can make your own under guidance of pro's. It's at the end of April.
*Spilchukker did that for me, and it's so cute I left it that way. To be clear, it's "pipeshow".....

Not sure I'll be able to make it anytime soon. That would be fun though. I guess while I am there I could always check on the peepshow too. Thank you sir.

Quite a beautiful pipe shape and wood grain. Maybe you should take a picture of it with a potato?

Thanks again all of you.
Peiquefreak: maybe it is better you ask to the other guys since I live in Italy and I find there briar and the majority of the other materials.
Deathmetal: I didn't understand your question. What does it means?

Lohengrin, whereas rusticating (see other thread) might be regarded as a skill, what you have achieved there is nothing short of an art, very impressive indeed!

Jay.
