Nice piece! Been carrying a Springfield TRP S/S 1911 for a few years now... Before that, a Colt Commander S/S 80 Series. Got a good mess of handguns from single shot flintlocks, cap and ball, single action revolvers, up to the latest and greatest. For me, it is always the 1911a1 that gets tucked into my holster! 101 years,,,gotta be doing something right! Good luck and be safe with new handgun!

I don't think the SR1911 exist except in the mind of gun writers and the gun rags. I have yet to see one anywhere. I looked months and never saw a one. But, that's ok, I still have two S&W 1911's.
Trying to choose a pistol for CCW is like trying to choose a cereal in the grocery store. There's just so many. I'd opt for an auto. Might I suggest an HK 9mm USP Compact. Fine reliable pistol, decent capacity and you can't beat German engineering. 1911's are finicky as to magazines and ammo so if you go that route, I'd stick with ammo/mags that are 100% reliable every time.
