I’ve got a pint jar full of creme brûlée I’ve been smoking for about the past year. I’ve smoked half the jar or more, and it’s been opened countless times. Still goopy and oily as ever! That stuff definitely does not want to dry out.

I like my sutliff aros all goopy like that. I just pack them extremely light, much lighter than I would pack any non aro. They burn fine and taste great, if you like baccy that tastes like baked goods, that is.
all I taste from them is whatever horrid chemical concoction is in the background.

no it's for the nicotine. For me at least. The fragrance part is nice but without the nicotine I wouldn't care how wonderful it smelled and if in a pinch I'll smoke a swisher sweet and I hate those.
Interesting.
I am not a nicotine chase. I imagined most pipers are not. Although once in a while I do get a biz hit the blends i smoke aren’t nic monsters.

though if you're really stuffing them that might make some of it dry out by physically pushing the moisture out.

No it wouldn't. If moisture were pushed out, it would stay at the bottom of the jar until it was reabsorbed by the tobacco, a process that would start immediately.

I have a jam jar about a third full of 1-Q that is about ten years old, and as near as I can tell, it never dries out. It feels more moist, almost wet, now than it did when I jarred it, all those years ago. Maybe it is a natural spring.

I've tested a few batches of PG laden tobacco. Even though it feels wet as hell, the actual moisture content will get low. Still not very smokable for this guy.

When I was looking for wet aromatics with the purpose of heating them up in order to scent a room I tried Lane 1-Q, but it didn't work well. Neither did other promising ones recommended on this forum such as Lane BCA, MATCH Carter Hall, Sutliff Vanilla Custard, H. Sutliff No. 79, P&C Gold Virginias, or Captain Black.

The ones that work best for my use are Sutliff Molto Dolce, Crème Brûlée, Spiced Rum, and Queen Anne's Revenge. I also like the smell of Backwoods Butter Rum, but it's not as long lasting as those.

They’ve definitely got a component that results in an artificial taste, kind of like a Twinkie compared to something from a good bakery, but I don’t detect anything offputting at all. I still like Twinkies, and I still like Sutliff aros.

I fit up to 2 oz in a 4 oz canning jar with a 2 piece lid/rubber seal. Some blends I have to use an espresso tamper! But, I never have had issues with a blend drying out. I have added moisture to blends that I open a lot with those quarter sized tin humidity discs and distilled water. One soaked disc will make a slight difference over a few days. So they’re not so finicky you’ll ruin a jar by accident.

Despite myself, I still smoke a bowl of 1-Q once or twice a year, as if it might improve. I should probably use it to moisten some blends that get dry, just mix and smoke. There's use for almost any leaf.

To me it would be like if the twinkie also contained mothballs... :ROFLMAO:
