Lawrence,
I'm glad you and yours are safe. I was at sitting at work (B'ham) with no power for over 3 hours before they finally sent us home about 10:30 am. We were lucky back at the house, we had power the whole time with no damage. Word is, this twister may be up there with the tornados of '74.

Fatman, William, I'm glad you guys and your families are OK.

We all are very lucky. Our power only blinked a few times and we only have an above average of sticks in the yard.

My wife and kids felt silly wearing the helmets yesterday... but they don't feel that way today.
Thank you everyone.

I know we have many members from Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, Georgia, and Kentucky as well. I hope all of our members in the South came through OK.

I see that these storms are still spawning tornados up the Eastern Seaboard.

You guys up that way please be careful. Hobie! You listening?

Glad to hear that you guys made it through all of that stuff without much, if any, problems. It was horrible. Hopefully the worse of it is over and there won't be any more of them with the rest of the system.

I had to go into Birmingham this afternoon....

I saw two Life Saver helicopters (in bound) and have been hearing small low flying aircraft all day.

I suppose they are surveying the damage.

It's amazing that there are some areas that have been wiped off the map, and others that are completely untouched. (We; fortunately are part of the later.)

Everyone that I personally interacted with and all the drivers on the streets have been most courteous.

Today has that 9/12 kind of feeling today. I think you guys know what I mean.

Twice.

I don't have a lawn yet... I have been fighting the weeds.
Sung to the Marine Corps Hymn:
From the ants in our petunia bed,

To the crabgrass on our lawn,

We will fight them off with chemicals,

Till the bugs and weeds are gone.
We'll use quarts and quarts of poison spray,

And we won't stop till they're through,

All the bugs and weeds are dying now,

But, the plants and trees are too...
:D
