4 times a year I pull out every pipe and do a little spring cleaning. Each pipe gets scrubbed inside with everclear and bristled pipe cleaners. I scrub with the bristled cleaners till they come out as clean as they went in. The pipes and stems are turned on a wheel with the appropriate cleaner. Some need some diamond white, others just wax and buff. All get both carnauba wax base and Hallogen wax over coat. The get fitted with fresh softie tips and come out smelling like roses. Her is a pic I took in the middle of the process. It's not all my pipes but I'll get to the rest tomorrow.

A good reminder to finish my annual deep cleaning. I did half of my collection (40 couple pipes) in July and need to finish the rest. No football tomorrow, so I'll probably throw something up on Netflix and dive in. I keep a pipe log and have a column for "Deep Clean". I forget if I don't log the job. That is one reason why I'm trying to not go past 40 pipes. A few of my Upshall stems are starting to oxidize, I'll tackle that as well.
