Just let her dry for about a week and you'll be fine. If she starts to split just soak the split with wood glue and in 10-15 minutes you should not even notice there was a split there.
If it's Alabama in the Summer, even a week might not be long enough! If Arizona in the Summer, an hour or two outdoors should do it.
Humidity varies. Greatly.
A Forums member astutely pointed out that submersion in water is used in most pipe making processes, so it is not really an issue. You don't want to soak a pipe for prolonged periods, but dropping a pipe into a dish pan, a bath tub, or the fishing hole, and retrieving it is not an issue. Let it dry out, and continue smoking it as usual.
I too clean my pipes with water. And use it liberally on all the estate pipes I restore, running the pipe under the faucet while wet sanding etc. No problemo.
