I need to sound off, my home got broken into again. Some SOB from the neighborhood next to mine is coming over here and kicking my door in. He got my flat screen this time. Nothing else, broke my back door and messed up my bed looking for guns. I'm sick of this SHIT, yes I cussed, but we have the sorriest sheriff's dept in the world. I had an alarm, but that didn't seem to phase him. I'm beginning to wonder why I bother, Some A..hole is going to come steal it anyway. Just very frustrated sorry for the bad language

I would have a firearm to make sure he does not harm you or your family if you are home the next time he comes in.

Good hidden security cameras.

The police arent going to try too hard to find the guy, most of them just dont care that much. But if you had a good clear shot of his face and made it easy for them then something might get done.

The worst part about getting robbed, is getting robbed again.

Unfortunately, thats how crackheads operate. When they get away with something once, they will be back again some day.

I say buy some crappy visibly cheap security cameras just for looks and get some really nice one that they can't see. My dad did this and they smashed the cheap ones and left the good ones that they couldn't see!

He's figured out your pattern, now figure out his. Then be ready. A friend of mine got his garage broken into about 4 times by the same guy before he finally made the mistake of trying it while my friend was still home. That's 1 dope fiend in a body bag now. My friend had to have his case decided by the DA but it never went to court. The police already knew the junkie and never bothered to arrest him after the first, second or third time. My friend had badass security footage and had given it to the cops. Too bad the punk had to face justice from a 9mm rather than our piss ant legal system. That's Dallas, TX BTW.

Thanks guys, I know I'm not unique, others have had it happened to them, I just hate going to the expense of buying cameras, but I may not have a choice. Thanks for listening to me.

My wife and I along with two other friends use to live in this village outside of one of the big cities in Costa Rica. It was where the regional dump is, and has been the colony of outlaws, druggies, and the extremely poor since the early 80's. Anyway, we moved in to start up a mission house of sorts and we hosted a few dinners a week for all the community who didn't have food for the day (most the food was leftovers from the dump). So we actually hung out with many of the convicts and addicts and did wash for them, helped them with food, and worked with them scrounging for recyclables in the dump. Well, we got broken into and robbed on a weekly basis it seemed, but we actually got EVERYTHING back each time because of the friends we made and the help we offered. There's always a code of "protecting your own" it seems among the impoverished. And unlike the mass majority of the wealthy, most know not to bite the hand that feeds ya! :puffy:
And as a very logical person once said, "If someone takes your cloak, give them your tunic also." Because it's through our selflessness that we can turn thievery to a moot point...

Nathaniel, it's not the loss of property that hurts (and enrages), it's the sense of personal violation and disrespect.

Most people, including Law Enforcement, consider burglary a property crime; but that's only part of the story. There is

a significant psycho-sexual and anal retentive component to it also -- as evidenced by the fact that it is quite common

for the burglar to defecate on the floor -- somewhere in plain sight -- before leaving the premises. I'm not enough of a

psychologist to figure that out, but I get the message, IYKWIM :puffpipe:

I hear ya cortezattic. Don't think I'm criticizing anything, I was just telling from my experiences of it all. I'm not telling anyone what is right or wrong (unless of course they're a brother or sister as well), just what has worked for myself in my happenings with such. I've had PLENTY of violating moments throughout my travels, and I find they often make for a better story later, than any hurt caused at the time. I just meant to tell a neat story by it! No offenses meant. :puffy:

Yeah, sounds to me as if it is time to kill a punk. I know I'd happily shoot someone breaking into my truck for the third time, castle doctrine or no.
