Great thread and great comments.
Ssjones: Did I miss the scene, or even the episode, where somebody said, "Sonya has Asperger's syndrome,"? (If not, I read it an early review of the series.)
I was really on the fence when I first heard about it. Here's yet another cop show but this one is set between El Paso and Juarez? So? Who the hell cares? But, the opening reports were so good I DVR'ed the original episode. It sat there for a few days before I watched it and, when that haunting song by the raspy voiced Ryan Bingham started up, I felt a hook getting laced through my liver.
This series is so below the radar and I was thrilled FX committed to a second season. I really hope it finds a bigger following on Netflix, Hulu and other media outlets. The actors, the writers and the cinematographers make this show and, you're right, my 2nd favorite moderator, it probably is the best show on TV.
Brittney: Gemma's hard. She's hard enough to roller skate on. But as much as I, you and everybody else dislike her she does what she does to keep her family together and, if convenient, to further SAMCRO. She loves Jax, Chibs, Bobby and Wayne dearly but she'd push each and every one of them under the bus for Abel and Thomas. Just watch, Brittney. She'll be standing over all their graves.
