… Just sittin' here now on this new-plowed earth
Trying to find me a little shade
With the sun beating down 'cross the field I see
That mule, old Rivers and me.

After careful consideration, I believe I fall into Group 3. The bulk of humanity who do not like vapid and trite corporate soft rock. Also, hammered girls aren't my barometer for culture. :D
I've always envisioned the people who loved Nickleback as being the same ones who loved elevator music.

Well, I took me a woman late last night
I's three-fourths drunk she looked all right
'Till she started peelin' off her onion gook
She took off her wig, said, "How do I look?"
I's high flyin', bare naked, out the window

Well, sometimes I might get drunk
Walk like a duck and smell like a skunk
Don't hurt me none, don't hurt my pride
'Cause I got my little lady right by my side
She's a-tryin' to hide
Pretendin' she don 't know me

- Dylan

I could honestly post about 50 Dylan tracks. Here's 3 more.

The sweet, pretty things are in bed now, of course
The city fathers they're trying to endorse
The reincarnation of Paul Revere's horse
But the town has no need to be nervous
The ghost of Belle Starr, she hands down her wits
To Jezebel the nun, she violently knits
A bald wig for Jack the Ripper who sits
At the head of the Chamber of Commerce

Mama's in the fact'ry, she ain't got no shoes
Daddy's in the alley, he's lookin' for food
I'm in the kitchen with the tombstone blues

'Twas in another lifetime, one of toil and blood
When blackness was a virtue the road was full of mud
I came in from the wilderness, a creature void of form
Come in, she said
I'll give ya shelter from the storm

Ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more
No, I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more
Well, I wake up in the morning, fold my hands and pray for rain
I got a head full of ideas that are drivin' me insane
It's a shame, the way she makes me scrub the floor
I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more

I'm not sure if its really the first thing he says, but in Aaron Lewis' I lost it all, "If I die I'll go to heaven, because I've spent my time in hell". A quote supposedly etched into a Vietnam War lighter with a knife.
