Somebody Got A Great Deal On This Collectible Micoli Pipe!

I don't have a Micoli,

but I've always been fascinated with his work because I'm drawn to such the craggy textures,

almost threw a bid in on this one,

I certainly wasn't expecting it to go for such a low price!

Impressive deal. It looks like a great pipe. I'm not much on the super rusticated texture, but I like rustication or semi-rustication in general. There's a lot of workmanship in this pipe, and it went for a cob price. The seller doesn't always win on ebay. It seems the winning bid is often too high or too low.

Maybe the maker and Smokingpipes are just asking way too much for them. Honestly, I would never have given that thing a second look. $12.66 is a tad low, I could see someone giving $20. I wouldn't, but someone might.

They are good smoking pipes I have one, not that appealing to ones senses as others I have but I also got it at a fair price. When playing in the Devil's Playground ( eBay ) one can find a good value, much is an uninformed seller, poor photos, incredibly poor description and simply plain dumb luck, all of these and a few others! .

Maybe not quite in the same deal bracket, but I was amused to see a pipe listed as:
"VINTAGE ANTIQUE SNELL KS 515 LARGE SIZE"
Of course it was a an Sav Antique Shell KS 515. The incomplete and improper listed made it practically invisible. It went for $12.50.
I'm not sure what those are really worth, but if I hadn't blown through my PAD budget for May already I would have gone as high as $20.00 . Yep, I'm pretty cheap.
