I take a few bowls worth of backy out of my jars and throw it into a baggy and I let it dry out overnight and then i've got a few bowls worth of perfectly dried out backy.
Now on DGT, for me it's similar to trying to save a cig and then puttin it back in your pack of fresh cigs. I just don't like the taste of it. I prefer fresh over pre-smoked backy.
That being said I intend to give tiltjlp's method a try before I make my final verdict. :puffy:

I bring a pipe with me to work to smoke on my break. I've always had a problem with gurgle, so I decided to pack the bowl the day before...it was great! I didn't have to relight, tasted alot better, and there was almost no unburnt tobacco at the end.
I plan on leaving all my blends out for a day before smoking and see how it turns out. I also see people preparing their tobacco and using the term "rubbing it out." What does this refer to?

I have never had much luck smoking DGT English blends and DGT Va/per seems to get rather sharp and harsh. DGT Aromatics don't do much for me either. DGT straight Virginia of any kind, however, can be mind blowing.

@cthulhu
"Rubbing out" - Put the backy between your hands and start rubbin!
Flakes, cakes, and plugs can prepared via "rubbing" although I believe with plugs you might grab a knife before you try rubbing it out.

Just tried DGT with some Butternut Burley in my Savinelli Brandy. I was able to smoke it down to just about nothing but ash, but I do that fairly often with this blend. To me, I noticed very little difference, the best part of it was when I was actually sitting down to smoke it, it was already waiting to go.
Going to prep a pipe of SPC Plum Pudding for later tonight, I figure I'll give it week's worth of tries to see if I like this style otherwise I'll just go back to setting a out a bowl's worth on a piece of paper for a little bit for some of my more moist blends.
Either way, thanks for the intro to this style Matchstickman :puffy:
