I have quickly run out of rack space with my restorations. I found a couple new racks at my local antique shop. Not particularly old but nice racks for a good price.
Both racks are oak. The first rack is very blond and likely poly coated as stain would not take. A bit of black paint and some 0000 steel wool with some wax aged it nicely. I like its vertical stance for the pipes, they display nicely.
The other pipe rack is older but Philips screws put it 1960-70s? I restored the finish which really improved the look. The humidor uses a clay disk And smells of an aromatic. I think it may me mixture 79 or something similar. It has a lot of vanilla and anise.
I think both came out nice and gave me more storage for my pipes.
