I intend to try a cob at some time. I just need to find one I like. They're not such a tradition in the UK and the choice is a bit limited. When I find one that grabs me I'll be adding one to the collection.
Seen a few beauties on here but they seem to be a bit of an afterthought on UK retailer's sites.

Thats a shame. I probably smoke my cobs more than my Peterson and Sav. They have some great options here in the states.

About the only cobs readily available here are Missouri Meerschaum. I'm getting more adventurous with different tobaccos so I ought to get a couple of cobs for trying out new blends. They would be ideal for work as well because they're inexpensive.

The M. M. is the best corn cobs on the market. They have some with very nice stems in the 30 to 40 range, but all their pipes will smoke incredibly well.

I have to admit, I’m still getting used to seeing Europeans (and Brits) smoking cobs on this site. I always figured cobs were more of a hillbilly American thing that only managed to persist because they were so cheap!

(Not that they’re not great smokers, mind you!)

I smoke latakias in certain pipe and I have that only handle Virginias. I do smoke Rustica in the same pipes as the Virginia's with no ill effects.
