I am finding the same with mine. Very surprised at how moist this is and how sticky. It isn't doing much for me either. I am really not getting that nutty burly rich taste at all, and barely any aftertaste.

I have 5 tins from 2008 in my cellar. It was so long since I smoked it that I'll open a tin right away to see how good it is :)

Solani ABF is the best straight burley going, for my money .... but the Solani ABF is tops
Oh, you know and experience the subtleties of burley in much the same fashion as I do. Solani ABF and the HH ODF are my two desert island burleys, similar though different ... perhaps, I'd add Irish Flake, but for sure ABF and ODF are soooo delicious and worth taking time to know.

Not sure how I missed this thread years ago, but ABF is my favorite burley in current production. And one of my favorite flake tobaccos of any description. Outstanding.

If you take Dockworker as a 60% coco solids bar of dark chocolate, the ABF would be a good quality bar of hazelnut milk chocolate.
