ABF is an outstanding blend, I can understand why it moves so fast - I smoked tons of it years ago, wish I had stocked up on it back then when it was ALWAYS available ::
The ABF flakes do stick together. I was really looking forward to trying it as I love burley. I think my tins need to age as I was not wowed by it. I look forward to revisiting it. Beautiful tin note.
Now my 633 is a fantastic smoke and I was able to scrape together a dozen tins of that in the last few weeks.
Yeh, I have went through several tins of this, and still have some set back to see if maybe twenty years (or more) makes it any less... blah and monotone. So, you guys are welcome to buy my portion from the retailers. I like burleys, as I think it is strange to be strictly for Virginias or Burleys, like it is similar to choosing a religion, like between Alabama or Auburn or something. But, this burley is weak and monotonous to me.
I have several tins of this bought on recommendation a few years ago and rarely reach for it unless looking for burley to add to a blend. On a side note, Silver Flake is remarkably similar to Sixpence.
