Billiards, Lumbermans, Dublins. Only straights. Although I enjoy looking at other shapes, I don't enjoy smoking them.

I've found that I gravitate among shapes themselves; however, I tend to drift toward a pipe based on it's dimensions. I am a shorter man, so I've tended to be more drawn to stubby, masculine dimensions (perhaps because the scale seems to fit my grasp) - those come in many shapes.
I have 2 Boswell nosewarmers - a Poker and Stubby nosewarmer.

I have 3 Rick Black Mortas - A "Rhodey", a "Billiard" and a small "Devil Anse"

I have 2 Peterson Bulldogs - 2017 St. Pats 150 and a 2001 St. Pats XL21.

For a while it was authors but now I have a thing for what I call a mini canadian(also applies to the other shapes in that family). They need to be under 6" in length.
Also I love bent billiards, bent dublins, bent apples.
In the captains post the pipe on the bottom really calls my name.

I thought I'd found my niche with 1/4 bent pipes with nice hefty bowls, and I do like those, the authors, the Rhodesians and bulldogs, and I have a couple of older pipes in classic shapes that just feel 'perfect' in hand beyond a lot of my pipes.

I don't have a lot in the way of pokers, unless you count cobs, and realize that this shape is not only attractive to me when proportions are correct, but practical. I hate to set a pipe in my ashtray, so I don't do that anymore, but it's nice to be able to use any flat surface to rest your pipe.

Just like tobaccos, it's nice to have a variety; of shapes, sizes, and material, like cob, meer, briar or other.

Straight billiards. Although I fall in love with many shapes, I like the bowl to be at the end of a straight line, which excludes bents. I don't want to have to estimate where to light the tobacco, which excludes zulus and horns. I want the pipe to weigh less than 50g and to be between 5.5 and 6 inches, which excludes churchwardens and other long-stemmed pipes. I clench and don't want to fuss with the pipe, I want to smoke it.

Love the look and shape of a poker. Although, the closest I own to one is a couple cobs. One day I'll find the one for me. Also like the lines of a churchwarden.

I find myself looking longingly at bulldogs and Rhodesians.

I don't have an example of either in my collection yet.
