At least the door is opened and you're not a sardine jammed in with 10 sweaty whales.........I digress. My advice is to light up your strongest latakia blend so at least the help coming will think your trapped in a burning elevator.
Try jumping up and down as hard as you can...maybe it will break free.

I've had that same view before but it involved Scotch not an elevator.
When I was vacationing last year, the fire alarm rang at the middle of the night and we had to walk down 9 stories before the firemen came and reset the alarm.
Within an hour it rang again, so we walked down the 9 floors again. This time the firemen stated that the elevators were causing the alarms, so they put it out of service.
That meant we walked up 9 floors to sleep.
Moral of the story for you : If the elevators are out of service just take the stairs

What an adventure. I'm now out of the stuck elevator. Damn interns were taking photos.

State of the art hospital and I get the shitty elevator. At least I didn't have a patient with me. Another attending kept coming around asking if I needed a smoke. Kept rubbing it in.

I do need my own show. I swear I get into the oddest of trouble in life. At least this one didn't involve a 14 year old me getting caught sneaking out of my 16 year old girlfriends house by her dad. Never ran that fast in me life.
I almost got stuck in a elevator with a pretty girl after I joked that Vegas rules apply to stuck elevators (what happens in stuck elevators stays in stuck elevators). I would have felt like my jest made it happen.
