I have occasionally seen snuff at some of the local B&Ms and even some of the corner liquor stores that stock a wider range of tobacco products than just cigarettes, Swishers and chewing tobacco.

As brewshooter reiterates above, check your local shops. Make a point to ask if you don't see it on display. More than once I've had a case of one US brand or another dusted off after it was pulled out from the stores depths.

Aside from that, due to the PACT regulations, you have to order snuff made in the USA from European distributors! Ain't that a hoot!!!

MrSnuff has a good representation of American brands.

I did notice the local corner liquor/smoke shop, has a small tin of what appears to be one of the American made snuffs on a back shelf. Hmmm, maybe I should see how much they want for it.

Just placed an order with Mr, Snuff! The Mc Chrystals in the British section has some small tins for cheap. I picked a few to sample as well as a few from the German section. I will wait to try the American brands.

While waiting on the Toque order, I accquired a tin of W.E. Garrett & Sons Sweet Mild Snuff and just sampled it. I was EXTREMELY careful not to inhale too deeply. Still got a little on the back of the throat, but am pleased with my first attempt. It certainly doesn't take much to breathe it in. As for the experience, absolutely loved it. Has a sweet tobacco aroma and a bit of smokiness to it. Really good stuff!

I was at my local tobacco shop and saw a small container of Friborg & Treyer snuff. I was in asking last week and they told me they could not get it. The man told me this was the last of the last so I grabbed it! It is the OLD PARIS blend. At first smell when I opened it I thought oh great I paid $12 for some thing that smells, well not so great? I took a pinch in each nostril and wow it was better up my nose than smelling just the tin. I liked it a lot and what a nick kick! Nice tobacco flavor some scent that I can not describe also. This will keep me set while I wait for my order from Mr. Snuff.

The joys for the nose abound!
Conwoods WE Garretts and Sons snuff is one of those most likely to be found here in the states. Lot of warm memories associated with that classic yellow lettered orange label. Love the Sweet/Mild, it's a good one for dipping as well as snuffing.
Ah, buster. Starting with the F&T Old Paris is likely to ruin you for the more common fare around. (-;

Really wonderful snuff and as you note, it do gots the nic!

Thanks for the Old Paris review Buster. That's one I've heard some good things about. I'll probably wait for the Toque order to arrive and, if I find I continue to enjoy the experience, might have to place an order with MrSnuff for some of the other brands.

Yea OTD that snuff is amazing. After letting it settle in it smells like leather and earthy tobacco. I have only had menthol snuffs before and this was my first sample of an old world style. I saw a review of Santo Domingo made by F&T also. Then I saw the white snuff container at the store and snatched it up. I'm going to order the Santo Domingo on my next order! I will also pick up some American snuff also.
I'm still blown away that you can buy American chew but not American made snuffs in the states?

If you enjoyed the Old Paris you will most assuredly like the Santo Domingo buster.

F&T's High Dry Toast is another one you might want to add to your order. Other end of the spectrum from Old Paris, light scenting, fine grind, it's a plain tobacco with an almost buttery smell/taste to it.
