Snagged a New Mastro De Paja off Ebay

Picked it up for only $82, unsmoked, brand new. I don't know the actual value of the pipe, but from researching, I believe I paid less than half it's value. Regardless, I know it's a good price no matter what. I've had it for over a month now, but only now got around to posting it. Smokes beautifully btw.

$200 seems about average for many Mastro de Paja pipes.
I don't know what this one is worth, but it is definitely worth $82 by any measure...

six, that was a steal, great looking pipe. I think Mastro's are a very underrated brand. I still have one that I will keep forever because of how well it smokes even though it has an acrylic stem.

It's a maker I've kept my eye on because I've heard a lot of positive things about them. I knew from researching that if I picked it up for under $100 (especially since it was new, unsmoked), I could be assured I wouldn't over pay.
It's a great pipe, very lightweight - solid smoker.

I bought an estate one off Ebay a few months ago and find it to be a great smoking pipe. It gives a dry smoke, similiar to my Ascortis.
I prefer vulcanite stems, but can live with an acrylic stem if it's well shaped and on a good smoking pipe.

I dig it. I only have one Mastro De Paja but it never fails to deliver a near if not perfect smoke. Love their aesthetic and the texture of their rustication. Enjoy that pipe my friend and label me just a little bit jealous.

Exactly the point! A pipe (or anything else, for that matter) is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Masto de Paja pipes have a wide range of finishes, grades, and prices. They all use the same briar and personally I have never smoked a bad one. Like cigrmaster said they are a very underrated brand. Congrats on a really good grab on that billiard, I'm sure ot won't be your last Masto.
