North Face Denali from 90s. Have enough burn mark from smoking and campfires to call it a jacket now. But still in one piece and I enjoy wearing it whenever I'm near tobacco or any sources of fire.
I'll take two.The ne plus ultra of smoking jackets may be made by Turnbull & Asser of England.
With pipes, I’ve never noticed a lingering smell, not even in my home. Not cigarettes and cigars, most definitely. No, I do not own one.The only people I've known with a real smoking jacket where teenagers who had a stinky coat they hid fromt heir parents. What do I mean by real? I mean a jacket meant to capture the smell so one doesn't smell redolent of smoke.
I have in the pipes but even when I have smoked a lot of pipes in one day my clothes do not smell strongly. Excepting a few more robust blends. Bold Kentucky certainly lingers but not like cigars or cigarettes. Though I have smelled aromatics that linger in the air for a while if it's not windy. As in going for a long walk getting back to where it started and still picking up on EGR. But mostly I totally agree. With pipes, I’ve never noticed a lingering smell, not even in my home. Not cigarettes and cigars, most definitely. No, I do not own one.
My smoking jacket is kept at my Nevada home because that is where I go to lounge around. It’s also a place that is stress free. The jacket is used more as a day robe if that makes sense. It’s also great for having cocktails out on the patio overlooking the Colorado River. Of course Christmas time is very appropriate. My dear Telescopes. If I owned a smoking jacket like yours, I cant help but to see myself wearing it on Christmas morning, broke af and smiling.
I wear a hoodie, in my garage, for the sole purpose of it being a smoke capturing outer garment. It obediently stays in the garage until next called upon…
Whereas, a smokin jacket like yours may have a tendency to wander off by itself at night for illicit purposes.
On edit. By God I love this forum.

Close up the house and go on vacation for week or two. When you return ... you'll probably get an understanding of the reek, the smell of stale smoke. And yes, it is indeed the smell of your home. Wouldn't bother me, my home reeks and it is indeed the smell of home. Non-smokers, realtors, prospective buyers, etc may not enjoy it though. What is this reek you all speak of? Smells like home to me
Yeh? Name one person!Close up the house and go on vacation for week or two.
The same can be said for many homes without a smoker in residence though. Depends on how clean you keep you garbage disposal, litter boxes, ill maintained bird cages, cat dander and the like. The last time the trash masher was emptied is another. If you had "kimchi" for a meal in the last few days. A bit of vanilla on a warm light bulb will temporarily mask such. A cleaning lady can mask the normal reek of a home. But, it's your home so it'll smell ... well, similar to how you smell to others without a masking coat of after-shave. Stale smoke is simply "off-putting" to many.
