What hope is that the house representatives on the right side of the isle, the ones who passed this law now that they have House majority, are going to help prevent on a federal level the kind of things that happened to Washington State and Hawaii.

I wouldn't hold your breath. Smoking in their offices benefits them just like insider trading, you are not them. California just shot down a bill that would make child sex trafficking a felony, so if they feds where going to change anything i would vote on that type of thing.
