Probably doesn't increase my chances of seeing any animals, but I can't resist a solitary smoke in the deer blind.
Today I am in Silver Springs, NV, located in NW Nevada, east of Reno.
look at that !! beautiful !!Very cool thread. Still working on how to incorporate a pipe on a hike. Cadence and free hands are a concern. The Warden and I hike pretty quickly and we have to scramble on all fours at times. For now, my backyard oasis will have to do. The bird activity has been amazing this spring and the other night I mesmerized by a bat diving for my smoke!

Very nice setup. Love the wildlife.Well, I have been VERY busy in 2024 and have had very little time to smoke, much less post!
My wife and I finally sold our So Cal home in June and moved to Colorado! We bought what I hope will be our last house in Cripple Creek, CO, about 1.5 hours west of Colorado Springs.
We are still adapting and acclimating to mountain living. We bought a log cabin, with only a few neighbors in a .25 mile radius.
I have found a great tobacconist in Colorado Springs (Stagg Tobacconist) and in the nearby town of Woodland Park, I found a very nice little Pipe and Cigar Lounge and Tobacconist, The Tooth & Bear. Happy to report that they have allowed me to become a member. The owner, Jake, is very knowledgeable and is working hard to expand his humidor selection.
I hope to have more time to smoke, now that we are getting settled in. As well as post more often again! Looking forward to joining the 2025 Tobacco Box Pass!
In keeping with the theme of the this thread, here are pictures of me smoking at the new house, and a few pics of the house!
Smoking on the deck, with a herd of deer that hang out at the house. I guess it is a safe place for them.

We also have a couple of flocks of wild turkeys that come by for corn every day.

We sit on 1.65 acres of wooded land. And 4 of the 5 ~1.5 acee plots surrounding us are vacant and unbuildable.
Wishing everyone a healthy, safe, happy Holiday Season!
