Guys, was curious if you smoke an English, will the flavor or enjoyment of an aromatic be affected in your next smoke, I'm talking about Smoking one after another.

If I smoke back to back bowls I nearly always keep the blends in the same family (i.e. englishes, virginias, etc). For me my taste buds get all out of whack and I miss the subtleties found in the second blend if I cross over into a different type of blend. Just me though.

I think Beezer is probably right. I usually have at least an hour between bowls, with something to cleanse my palate in between.

The only thing I try to save till last are heavy latakia blends. If I smoke Lancer's Slices or Star of the East or the like, everything tends to have that earthy Cyprian smoke. But if I'm hitting the Lat bombs, its not really likely I will even be in the mood for anything else. If its a more balanced English there is no carry over on my palate.

Interesting question - about the only time I've smoked different blends back-to-back is when I'm trying to compare one against the other, so they're usually in the same general category - Englishes, Balkans, Va/Pers - and I usually drink water in between to cleanse the palate. Haven't tried anything radically different yet.
